Canadian Authors Association - Alberta Branch

Want to help?

The CAA Alberta Branch is not a closed shop. It’s run by a group of writers who find strength in numbers and believe passionately in the writing life. We’re always looking for new blood and new energetic ideas. Our current executive works very hard to create interesting and useful programs, opportunities and services for our members. We value your ideas.

If you have input on how we can help meet your needs and support your writing habits, let us know. We aim to be open, approachable and ready to tailor this organization to work best for and with you.

You can join us in any capacity. Plan to sit in on a couple of our monthly board meetings or volunteer to work on a committee. Helping out and making friends with fellow writers can be as simple as coming to monthly meetings a couple of minutes early to help with the set up. We’re always looking for people to write feature articles for our newsletter; offer insights into their favourite writers’ web links, update fellow writers on what’s hot in the publishing industry or simply share the names of books that changed their own personal writing life.

There are so many talents among us. Find a way to support your local CAA branch and improve everybody’s prospects (and help us all get writing!). To discuss how you can help, contact any member of the executive.
